Type "NYC bus tour" into a search box and you get seven different products that all show a red or blue bus in Times Square. The difference between them sits in the small print: is the commentary a recording or a person, can you get off, how long does the ticket last, where does it start and end, and can you get your money back?

Where the Figures Come From

Prices, ratings, review counts and what a ticket covers come from the listing on the platform that sells it. Loops, stops and bus hours come from the bus companies' own route pages. Fares, tolls, weather normals and opening hours come from the MTA, the National Weather Service, the National Park Service and other official pages, linked where they are used.

When two sources disagree, the page prints both or leaves the figure out.

What You Will Not Find

No invented guide or rider stands behind these pages, and nobody from the site claims to have taken these tours. Reviews shown are short excerpts from four and five star platform reviews. A complaint that comes up often, such as traffic stretching a loop or a rushed stop in Dyker Heights, goes into the guide text with what to do about it.

How the Site Is Paid For
